CURVED PIECING is a technique class on how to sew curved quilt blocks. This is a full day class given by three teachers to ensure small groups and intensive teaching. Teachers will rotate during the class. The blocks include, “Drunkard’s path”, “I wish you well”,” Dianes-diamond-fan”, “Flower Petal” and “Orange Peel”. The teachers will explain and demonstrate the techniques to achieve perfect curves.

Meet the teachers
Whether you are 7 or 70, I want to teach you the finer nuances of quilting by teaching the use of simple tools to create extraordinary results. I started quilting in 2006, and the 2007 SAQG Alberton Quilt Festival convinced me that I found my art medium in textile! Always ready for a challenge, my friends and I are excited to teach you the tips and tricks of traditional curved piecing at the full day class on the 21st of May. Hope to see you there!
Ek is Erla Cilliers en ek doen al my hele lewe lank naaldwerk, maar het eers so in 2000 begin kwilt. ‘N groot deel van my daaglikse beroep behels opleiding so om ‘n kwiltonderwyseres te word was amper ‘n gegewe. Wat my die meeste plesier van kwiltklasse gee is die opgewondenheid van die student wat iets regkry wat sy gedink het bo haar vuurmaakplek is, of as die studente iets geleer het waarmee hulle 100% kan resoneer. Kom woon gerus ons klas by die 21e Mei, waar ons kurwes lag lag gaan kafdraf.
